Born in 1981, Thorsten Braun studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He started his career at Lufthansa in 2008 as a management trainee and later became a consultant to the Executive Board at Lufthansa Passenger Airline in Frankfurt in 2009. In 2011, Thorsten moved to Lufthansa Cargo AG, where he held various management positions in Key Account Management, Sales, and Product Management in Singapore, Dubai, and Frankfurt. In 2020, he led the Corona Task Force, preparing Lufthansa Cargo for the transportation of corona vaccines. Since 2021, he has been a part of the Lufthansa Systems senior management team, overseeing selected IT services and solutions for the Lufthansa Group and holding responsibility for the entire internal sales revenues generated with the Lufthansa Group.
