Maarten van As is the Managing Director of Air Cargo Netherlands, the organization representing the interests of the air cargo community in the Netherlands. In this role, he champions collaboration, innovation, and sustainable growth within the industry. Maarten works to strengthen the Netherlands’ position as a leading European air cargo hub by fostering partnerships between businesses, government, and knowledge institutions. His focus includes promoting digitalization, improving efficiency, and driving the adoption of environmentally responsible practices across the air cargo supply chain.

Air Cargo Netherlands was one of the founders of Pharma Gateway Amsterdam (PGA). PGA is a community initiative focused on ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient handling of pharmaceutical products at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.
