With more than 20 years in planning and optimization in science, consulting, and industrial production, Dr Uwe Rettig has the expertise to combine complex industrial situation with large data systems, and organizational implementation of planning processes.
After studying mathematics, Uwe worked at the University of Technology Munich (TUM), joining the team of the Chair of Numerical Mathematics, and participated in the Sonderforschungbereich 438 of the DFG: “Mathematical modelling, simulation and verification in material-oriented processes and intelligent systems“.
In 2003, he joined Axxom Software AG: a company that provides software solutions for optimizing processes in complex environments of logistics and production for a variety of industries. Here he was responsible for the departments of Development, and also Product Management. Within a number of projects of implementation and also potential analysis for optimization of processes, he gained experience in methods of process planning and optimization in several industries.
In 2011, Uwe started working at IDT Biologika. IDT Biologika is an innovative biotech company with a successful history dating back 100 years. As a leading CDMO, IDT supports customers in the development and manufacture of innovative virus vaccines, gene and immune therapy products as well as biologics and aseptic fill-finish for other biologics, with end-to-end capabilities serving companies worldwide.
With his current position as Head of Supply Chain Management, Uwe is responsible for customer service, planning and logistics, and he is in charge of the Sales and Operations Planning Process (S&OP).
